Question #2:
Can a Schizophrenic's blood cause hallucinations?
In my college general psychology class today, our professor (who is a clinical psychologist...so he says) told us that, due to the varied amounts of chemicals present in a Schizophrenic's blood, getting a blood transfusion from a Schizophrenic can temporarily cause Schizophrenic-like hallucinations and delusions.I feel like I should believe him, but he also has a tendency to describe several different personality disorders with "these people feel like everyone should worship them", so I'm not sure.
Can anyone with experience or medical expertise confirm or deny this claim?
Thanks.
-IMP ;) :)
Question #3:
So if a man or woman goes into a spaceship they stop being a person until they can step out again.?
Well Until a baby takes a breath outside of the woman, it is not a living person. That is what it says in Medical and Legal Books.Click Here
this entire question came from an email I got from this user about this question.
Question #4:
How do you explain what its like to be in the closet to a straight person?
I came out to my sister a month ago and now she thinks she's on the up and up about being gay. She asked me if anyone at my school knows I'm out (I'm 23 and in medical school) and I said no....to which she responded, "WHY NOT?!" as if it was such an easy thing to do. I tried to tell her how difficult and frightening a prospect it is to come out, since you've been hiding that part of yourself for all your life, but she just couldn't get it. How can I explain it to her? It doesn't help that she's a girl and doesn't know what its like to be a guy and how guys interact with one another.Another thing is, she now acts like I'm an older sister and not an older brother. She's so excited that we're both into guys, but that doesn't mean I want to know about her boy troubles and all the little details of her love life. How can I tell her nicely that just cause I like s-ing "d" doesn't make me her girlfriend?
Question #5:
My period stopped after putting in tampons!?
I wil give details of my case.I am 20 years old, never had sex, my periods are usually light so I thought why waste good pads those shit are expensive in my country.
Yesterday was the first time I had ever had the courage to use a tampon. it was painful but I managed to put it in. After the third successful tampon my period just stopped. I took it out and there were very little blood on them and seems like there were a lot clots.
Then after the fourth one there was practically none on them.
I am scared that tampons actually stopped my period and I am REALLY scared!
What will happen to me now? Should I be seeking medical advice???
Yesterday was supposed to be the first day of my period.
Question #6:
What are the best colleges in Florida and Arizona for pre-medical school? 10 pts best answer?
I live in Indiana and I will be applying to Ball State and Indiana University so far. I want to choose a couple colleges in Florida and Arizona and go from there. I am so far thinking about majoring in psychology or dentistry. Definitely pre-med though. I need help, please! Which schools in Florida and Arizona? Thanks so much!!!Question #7:
When I read, my vision starts to get blurry and I always get sleepy.?
So, im a psychology major and I have to do lots and lots of reading. But the problem when I start to read is that my vision starts to get blurry and my eyes then proceed to get really heavy and sleepy. I then take a 30min to 1hr nap and wake up again with the intention to continue reading, but the same thing happens. Personally, I don't ever drink coffee, so I don't think it is because of a lack of coffee. I don't have medical insurance so I'm screwed there. I really don't know what's wrong with me...HELP!Question #8:
Clomid and IUI didn't work. What should a 40 year old do next?
I have no diagnosis. Ovarian reserve is good. DH's sperm is good. Thyroid and other initial labs to rule out other medical conditions are good. Had the X-ray and dye study of my tubes done, and that looked good. Did ONE round of Clomid, Ovidrel injection and IUI. Day 10 ultrasound before the injection looked good, although my uterine lining seemed a little thin...Doctor thought it might just be too early. Period came at 8:30 PM on the 12th day following IUI (exactly 14 days after the injection).Because I am 40, the doctor doesn't want to linger too long on something that didn't work. He's suggesting Femera and Ovidrel and IUI with 1 ultrasound OR several FSH injections (I thought he said Anopure, but I can't find that by looking it up) and 3 ultrasounds and IUI for this next round.
The former is cheaper. Insurance doesn't cover fertility at all. Not sure what I should do next. Twins would scare me on so many levels. Any advice?

There was a movie that was played on Channel 11 wttw chicago! it was about an urban family, A son a daughter husband & wife! the husband was abusive & a alcoholic..Who ddn't want his sons illegal money! To make a long story short..The HUSBAND & WIFE ended up dying @ the same time!! The Husband beat his wife into Hospitalization & he got killed walking in a Brooklyn park..The moment he got shot..his wife was Flat-lining in the hospital!! I can't think of the name of this movie for nothing!! But,I think the Guy now plays in a medical Drama show, I don't know his name..But, he kinda reminds me of Pras from the Fugees & kinda has a mouth, like that little black boy, that played on COP & a HALF!!!LOL, I know this is a bit descriptive, but,I really wanna find this Movie!!Question #11:
What is it like to 'play' with a married couple?
I met a couple online that wants me to join them for sex. I've talked to them both on the phone and they seem like pretty cool people. Laid back, good senses of humor. I was like, ''Hey, here's some people I can have a good time with!'' Today, they e-mailed me a 'list of demands', so to speak. I have to divulge my medical records, I have to leave as soon as the fun is over, and I'm not allowed to contact them... they will contact me.This all seems like more of a 'business arrangement' than a good time. Is this the norm for couples who want to include a third party? I understand having rules, but doesn't making the whole thing so structured take away from the excitement?
Question #12:
Does The University of Notre Dame offer Marching Band Scholarships?
Ok, well I'm a sophomore in high school and I've been really interested about going to The University of Notre Dame. My grades are great, I play baseball and I play the quads for my school's marching band. I've read Notre Dame's Evaluation Criteria and it seems like it's going to be tough to get into this college. I've been wanting to attend Notre Dame ever since I was 5 years old. I've had my goals set out since I was 10. I plan on being a Medical Examiner and going for all 8 years to get my Doctorates degree. The main problem about this is being able to pay for all the funding..I'd like to get an Academic Scholarship or possibly a Baseball Scholarship. The baseball scholarship probably won't happen because my high school is located in the middle of nowhere, so I can't rely on that. So far in all the years of my high school, I've been the first sophomore to play the quads. My band director has told me I'm very talented and excellent at reading music and whatnot. So, this leads me to my question. Does anyone know if The University of Notre Dame accepts Marching Band Scholarships? I'm afraid I won't be able to pay for the funding and I'd like to cut off a couple years or more with a scholarship. This is really important to me. So please, if anyone can answer this question or help me out in any way to make my dream and goal come true, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Cory

Question #14:
do you think it's a mistake to change my major?
I was a biology major originally going for pre-med but after interning in the ER I decided medical school was not for me. I switched to biotechnology for medical research but in the end chemistry is just kicking my butt and mutilated my once excellent GPA. To get back in the swing of things and because I decided on law school, I switched my major to political science.Everyone I talk to is saying that I'm making a mistake, that there are too many lawyers, not enough jobs and that I really should stick to medicine. I don't want to be a doctor, I think I could be really great at law. I'm working on getting my GPA back up and I plan on studying like crazy for the LSAT but I keep hearing doubt in people's voices everytime I talk to a friend or someone new. I know I'm smart and that I can handle it. But is it really a mistake because of the overabundance of lawyers?
that's funny you say that because that's exactly what i want to do-either patent or corporate law.
Question #15:
Will an Army Waiver preclude me from anything in field 35?
My recruiter said that it's a 50/50 chance that I will be turned down if i apply for a medical waiver (I took some anti-depressant medication about six years ago and I'm in the process of getting the waiver) But I just wanted to know if I would qualify for any Intelligence MOS even with a waiver. Also wondering if the 35m would include torturing? And please don't copy and paste info about the MOS from about.com or goarmy.com. I'd really prefer a more detailed explanation Thanks :)Question #16:
Why do cops hate responsible adult marijuana smokers?
Now before you even say "we just enforce the law" or "it's illegal" save your breath. Police unions are actively fighting marijuana legalization movements. Why do police hate weed smokers that are just minding their own business smoking weed in their own homes. It's irrelevant to me now, because I live in the Colorado Rockies and have a medical card but I'm still just curious.Question #17:
One of my ferrets sounds blocked up?
I have 14 ferrets and rehomed/rescued all of them, therefore do not know a lot about their medical background. They range from 2 - 3 and have not had any problems so far - touch wood - only one little girl who had her bottom canines out as the previous owner who worked ferrets smashed the teeth together with a coin. I always keep a close eye on them, checking daily teeth, eyes, back legs as I feel this is a great indicator if anything is wrong as they can be lumpy and stringy. The Hob, Whiskey is 2 and a right handful but is very sweet, I have noticed since I went to pick him up from the rescue centre near me - that is run by a very nice lady with 21 of her own and who takes tremendous care with them - that he was rather blocked, weezing, as if he had a hairball, although they were fighting a lot with my others. However, now and then he seems fine, perky running around eating drinking fine but i notice a blocked sensation, clatchy throat bubbly and some loud coughing as if something is stuck. Also a knocking sound every now and then, only very rarely. He is fine 90% of the time, but only really after eating i think. Any ideas??
Thanks

I take from the answers that republicans simply want something for nothing.
Sorry but you have to pay if you want to play - that's just the rules.
